one tip the next time you are going to australia. you are better off going through the red channel and saying you have something to declare. just tell them you have lollies or m&ms and you might even be waved through without a screening. i did it twice this year. they do their checks on you even if you go through the nothing to declare channe so why bother.

wells, im kinda relieved that my trip to kl has ended. i must say i had plenty of fun, but aside from that, some people are just so sickening.

i think malaysian taxi drivers are out of this world. even bangkok has a better system. There are some who are truly doing a legitimate business, in which i will end up tipping. Or some who are just out to suck you. Touts are plenty, and my trip from the hostel to KLCC should have never been 23.30. None of the Proton Sagas will have passed the test in Singapore and it seems like their fuel level is always empty. Taxi stands are of no use as people few feet away will be trying to cut your queue.

1 joker went 180km/h yesterday. He seemed to know that I am rushing back to watch the finals. For a while, I thought I was in Massa’s Ferrari negotiating Turn 1 at Silverstone. I have no idea how Chng could sleep, though I did hear a ‘KOCK’ somewhere. I did, arrive safely back, half the price of the other taxi they took.

Anyway, coaches running the SIN-KL route are pretty cool today. I took one today that had humongous seats, huge recline and legroom, and a PTV (which had only 3 channels). Announcements were made just like on the plane by the stewardess, but these buses do not have O2 masks, so you die if theres depressurisation.

the first thing i did when i came back was to irritate this friend of mine. and it was just so hilarious.

i just saw the news, buenos aires is snowing. BUENOS AIRES for christ’s sake. and the mountains around it have dipped to -22deg celsius. seriously speaking, we could help with dipping temperatures here.

here are some pictures of my trip to christchurch and sydney last month. just a few nice ones.

limestone structures

this was taken at this karst landform halfway through the journey from Christchurch and Arthur’s Pass. I tell you the view was just totally out of this world. I had to climb quite some distance to take this picture.

bowls?

somebody selling their bowls at the riccarton sunday rotary market. i think its a size 2 classic deluxe. mabbe chong beng will like it. oh to add, i love this place to bits and for the second time this year i bought more cookbooks there. oh I am sure samuel will too.

chess

just look at this. i wanted to join in, but my mum scolded me.

akaroa

and it just feels so peaceful looking at this view. the pier at akaroa. the fish and chips there is just simply out of this world.

brighton pier

brighton pier. im having that feeling of nostalgia now as i type this post.

potatoes

my uncle grows a lot of vegetables and fruits like raspberries, grapes, strawberries, kiwi etc. these lot of potatoes were harvested by me.

now on to sydney. i found this at central, at one of the newest shopping centre in town. the coles there was huge, and my mum bought plenty of cadbury at 4.39 AUD. They were going for 4.10 at TANGS 2 weeks ago, and from Australia too. oh you know, sydney has pepper lunch too.

breadtop

anyway, talk about copycats.

sydney opera house

and ah. this is the most cliche picture of all.

so, forecast for tomorrow. 12-21 deg celsius, humidity:55%?

cambridge!

was the word they greeted me when I called them a while ago.

Then I said I am interested in your spanish courses, she immediately changed her tone and became so sweet, introducing herself as Yvonne and asking for my name. She gladly explained to me the whole course details and what we will expect and what will be the outcome of it.

Friday 7-9.30pm is the course. perfect timing huh?

the gathering today was great, albeit the horrid pizza hut pizzas. hope our dear miss lim will enjoy her stay in japan, and mabbe find some sous chef down in the land of the rising sun.

oh and spice girls is reuniting, with concerts in london, cologne, cape town, hong kong, beijing, sydney etc. i have entered all my whole family’s names into the system so that I have a higher chance of those tickets. and I can definitely think of a few who will be glad to travel with me down under or up china. oh wells I never admitted but I am a spice girls fan too. i can do wannabe really well, sighs.

im going to be away in malaysia, again yes, for 10 days. thats an unbelievably long time. staying in a hostel without air-con, 35 deg, haze, chng. thats bad!

H&M is in talks with Orchard Turn to open next year here in Singapore. Looks like I am in trouble if it comes true. im still cursing and swearing why did I not step into the one in San Francisco Union Square last year. But I am supposed to go in December right? I am so looking forward to it.

i hope my dear friend coming back from chengdu remembers my scuffing lotion.
